Description
Tests Truck-Side Brake Controller Output and All Towing-Lighting Functions Without a Trailer!
The #9107A Electric Brake Force Meter with Dynamic Load Simulation and Circuit Testing is designed for use on 7-way flat (spade) equipped vehicles. This new technology automatically recognizes the electronic signature of both Integrated (ITBC) and aftermarket Trailer Brake Controllers, simulates trailer load and displays real-time, brake-controller output gain and application time. It can quickly troubleshoot truck-side tow circuits, e.g., tail lights, turn signals, 12V+, reverse and ground condition and the 25-ft. cable allows for one-man, in-cab testing.
Features and Benefits:
-
- Brake Force Meter displays real-time, brake controller output gain and timing
- Quickly troubleshoots electrical circuits and ground condition; use to verify that the vehicle’s adaptive (speed/load sensitive) brake-controller output is functioning properly
- For use with aftermarket and integrated brake controllers
- Microprocessor controlled simulates trailer brake loads
- 25-ft. cable allows one-man, in-cab testing of brake controller and all truck-side tow circuits, e.g., tail lights, turn signals, electric brakes, etc.
- OEM approved
- Patented
Includes:
• Electric Brake Force Meter (#9107A-AS) • 25-ft Cable (#CBL-9107-AS) • Soft, Nylon Carrying Case (#9107-3)

A great timesaver! Forget about those cheaper trailer plug testers if they don’t apply a load on the controller. They won’t show that the wiring and controller are working without doing so. This instrument applies such resistance, allowing you to assess the status of your wiring and controller easily and accurately. I can’t sing the praises of this instrument enough after wasting hours with the cheap alternatives, making me think there was something wrong with my installation of a new controller. I wish I would have invested in this instrument earlier. Lesson learned.

Works with 2020 Ford Ranger Tried an inexpensive 7 blade trailer socket tester but the truck would not recognize the tester as a trailer when brake was applied even though it seemed to work when the tester was first plugged in. So, I bought this unit and it recognizes the ecu and applies a load. The truck now recognizes the new tester as a trailer and I can test all functions including braking.

Love it Love it. Works great, the long cord is excellent. Like any other tool the operator needs to know exactly what is going on before using, some reviews condemn the tool.

Trouble shooting truck side This is the best tool I have used so far to find troubles and or test truck side issues for 7 blade connectors. gives nice read out of brake force and you can see indications with out having to run back and forth
